Fanfiction Contest!

HEY GUYS, IT'S TIME TO PARTY

Alright, I realize that most people are still in the process of making characters, so i wanted to have an event that you didn't need your own character for. You'll be using a character from the Percy Jackson series! The layout and process for this is going to be a little different than the usual monthly contest, which will start once we have more members, just to make it quick and easy.

Alright, here are the rules of the contest:

You have two weeks, until MAY 4TH, 11:55pm EST to get an entry in
Your entry can be no less than 1,000 words, and no more than 5,000 words
At the end of your entry, please list the amount of words in your story (writing this part will not add to your word count any)
Your story can be in first or third person but must be primarily centered around the character admins choose
Your story must obey all site rules, with the exception of using your own character
Make a new thread for your entry in >>>this<<< section of the forum (FanFic Contest Entries)
Use the subject of the thread as the title of your entry, and somewhere in the title, add the current character subjects name in parentheses
Staff members above approvers (in this case just Crispy and I) cannot participate

Because of the lack of members, we won't have designated judges. Instead, at the end of the two weeks, a poll will be put up and each member will get a single vote. Choose whichever story you believe to be best. The winner of the contest will receive 1,000 drachmas and a child of the Big Three! Sounds appealing, eh? Second place will received 1,000 drachmas, and third place will received 500 drachmas.

So that's about it. Now, for your subject! The focal character of your story will be:

Zoe Nightshade

You cannot adjust any canon aspects of the character. However, you have creative license to make up what you wish for any unknown aspects of her. Feel free to write about previous relationships, how she became lieutenant, a hunting event she might've gone on, etc. If Riordan hasn't specified it, you can make whatever developments you choose. :D

So, with that being said, go ahead and start your entries! There's a fabulous prize for the winner, and this is the first event of the site. Be a part of history, and most importantly, enjoy yourselves!
